Template Freebie!

Hello again!


I have a new freebie today! I attempted my hand at a digiscrap page template. I have never really been into the digiscrapping of designing. I enjoyed making the papers and elements, but my layouts always look so simple, so plain compared to so many others. I want to work at it though. I want to actually make something that looks as full and perfectly clustered as all of the beautiful scrap pages I see posted in digiscrap forums.

So I played around with a template idea and I liked it, so here it is ;)

I hope to keep practicing with the layouts so I may have some more templates available in the future! Wish me luck :)

Lupus Awareness Scrapkit Freebie!

I recently heard a fellow designer asking about a freebie Lupus awareness scrapkit, so I went searching but I couldn't find one. I decided to give it a shot. It's been quite a while since I sat down and attempted a full kit, but here goes nothing.

Not all elements are featured in the preview. I have a hard time fitting all elements in there without it driving me nuts thinking it's too cluttered. Ehh, what can you do? :)

Funky Spring Freebie

Today I have another freebie that I have had sitting around waiting to share. I obviously couldn't wait long ;)

This is another digital paper pack with no textures - just bright, funky patterns. Each file is 300dpi, 12x12, jpeg format. I hope someone can find some enjoyment from it.

Already?!

Yes, yes, I am back already! But this time I am back with something more to give you than just some words!

Today I have a freebie digital paper pack. This one has no textures, torn edging or other unique qualities. Instead, I decided to go with simple. If along the road I realize that more people like the textured items then I will gladly do more of that.

I am starting slow and simple. I have always enjoyed venturing out though so I may release full kits or matching elements for any simple paper packs I create. Who knows where this will lead?... I just want to make pretties again :)


I hope someone can find use for these and enjoys these papers as much as I enjoyed playing with these colors and patterns!

It's About Time!

The title pretty much sums up this entire post, but I will go ahead and do some 'splaining just in case :)

I am a stay at home mother to three adorable munchkins and a wife to my high school sweetheart. After my second child was born, I stumbled across a graphic on that good ole social media site Myspace and discovered the beautiful world of graphic designing. I fell head over heels in love with the idea of being able to make pretties. So I quickly joined a forum with amazing admins that taught basic graphic designing skills and as soon as I finished those I searched online for more.

Eventually, I branched out into digital scrapbooking and started making digiscrap kits. Along the journey I created a digiscrap kit blog, opened a Livejournal graphics community and created Facebook graphics and boutique logos for small businesses. None of those ever stuck though because it was always only a small part of me and what I like. At times when life would get in the way, I would back off only to come back to designing but focusing on another type of graphic. Long story short, I finally realized that maybe, just maybe, focusing on one thing won't work for me. Maybe I should just do what I love - be a mom and wife, design, read, write and if I happen to share anything with someone then so be it. Once I came to this decision I felt so... free!

I know that sounds crazy, but I have spent so long trying to be what others wanted me to be. NOT because they made me feel that way, but because it was ingrained in me as a child to be the quiet one, the good one, the agreeable one. For years my husband has been slowly helping me open up and speak, to be me and I think I am finally there. I am ready to share my voice. I want to design when I want, read great books and share reviews... I want to share those silly motherhood moments and just be me without worrying about who is judging me, so here goes.
